Hi Lisa!
You take the mason jar lid off and empty the contents into a pot to heat up on a stove or you can pour the contents into a crockpot and set on low. Make sure to add a little water so it doesn’t burn! Hope this helps. When finished you can replace the contents into the mason jar and put the lid back on. Then refrigerate to use again. It should stay fresh for 2-3 weeks! And you can get a 2-3 more uses out of it. Hope this helps!

Obviously you need it sealed for transport. Curious!

I kept mine out unused for about 2 months and when I opened them to use them, they still had their fresh smell. I think it’s fine to leave them out since they will not be consumed as food. Once opened you can reuse it for up to 3 weeks and I would refrigerate them. If you’re making them for a craft show I would make them a few days before the craft show so they still look their best. Hope this helps!
