Sometimes it’s so hard to start making healthy choices whether you need to lose 10 pounds or 50 pounds. I know I can always come up with an excuse to eat a piece of chocolate at the end of a crazy day or sleep just a little longer instead of hitting the gym.

Basically you can get paid to lose weight and earn extra cash just for doing what you should be doing to have a healthy life.
There are a few companies that help encourage people on their weight loss journey, by giving you the opportunity to bet against yourself to lose between 4% – 6% of your weight. If you hate losing money, then this could be a great way to keep you motivated and earn some extra cash!
There are a few ways to get paid to lose weight for free. Some health insurance companies, pharmacies, and new apps are designed to reward you for working out.
Companies That Pay You to Lose Weight
#1 – Healthywage
You can place a bet as an individual or join a team challenge.
With the individual bet, you tell them your body details, how much you want to bet, how much you want to lose, and they’ll calculate what prize to offer you.
There is also a $10,000 Team Challenge; a competition between teams of 5 people during preset 12-week intervals, with the top prize being $10,000. The entry fee is $25/month per person for three months.
The Jackpot Team Challenge is a competition between teams of 5-9 people to lose 6% of their body weight. Each participant contributes $33 per month for 3 months into the “pot”. Teams that collectively average a 6% weight loss in a given contest will split the total Jackpot with any other winning teams.
SIDE NOTE: Healthywage does take a 25% cut of the pot first.
#2 – Dietbet
Join a team and place a bet on yourself to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. Most bets are around $30. If you meet your goal of losing 4% of your body weight, then you split the pot with the other members who also met their goal.
#3 – Walgreens
You can earn Balance Rewards at Walgreens by connecting your fitbit or other fitness tracker. If you don’t have a Balance Rewards card you can sign up for one for free!

Get involved in a community of like-minded people. It’s great to have friends around you who can help support your new lifestyle.

Buy a new outfit! I love gym clothes. They are so cute and comfortable! You can buy them on Amazon Fashion. When I have new outfit I totally want to break it in at the gym. It makes me feel good!
Find some music to get you pumped for your workout! Seriously! When I hear my workout music my mind and body get into workout mode.
Bet on Yourself! I have found that using money to motivate me makes me stick to my program. I don’t want to lose money so betting on myself helps me stay on track. My frugal side would die if I lost my money for lack of trying.
